Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do I set up SpongeBath?

Please read the directions.

Q: Where can I install SpongeBath?

SpongeBath can be easily attached to any sink-side, with an included mounting bracket, or placed on a countertop, with an included non-slip stand.

Q: How do I use SpongeBath?

After using your sponge, rinse off soaps, solids and chemicals, place your sponge between the paddles, squeeze and lower into SpongeBath. SpongeBath is a sponge cleaner and a sponge holder, so you store your sponge in SpongeBath in between uses!

Q: Do I need to clean SpongeBath unit itself?

For best results, we recommend hand-washing the unit with mild dishwashing soap and water each time you replace the cleaning cartridge. Depending on usage, you may want to wash more or less frequently.

Q: Do I have to use the sponge included in the box?

No, SpongeBath works with all standard size sponges, including scrubber sponges.

Q: What kind of sponge can I use with SpongeBath?

SpongeBath is compatible with all standard-size sponges up to 4.75” in length and types such as nylon, cellulose and scrubber sponges. We do not recommend that you use sponges that are pre-treated with other household cleaning agents as this may reduce effectiveness of the cleaning solution.

Q: Why do I need to rinse off the sponge before placing it into SpongeBath?

It is important to rinse off a sponge thoroughly before placing it in SpongeBath as this will make it more effective.

Q: When do I add water or change the water in SpongeBath?

To keep the sponge clean, the sponge should be covered with the cleaning solution. Add water when necessary.

Q: What temperature water should I use?

For best results, we recommend using room temperature water.

Q: What do I do with used Cleaning Cartridges?

Do not use the cleaning cartridges for any other purpose other than for use in SpongeBath and dispose of used cleaning cartridges in a receptacle out of the reach of children and pets.

Q: How does SpongeBath work?

Using SpongeBath’s patented “paddle action” method, the compression and expansion of the sponge between the paddles draws the cleaning solution deep into the micro-crevices of the sponge.
